If you want honky-tonk, Hampton Central is the place to go. The road adjacent to the beach is lined with pinball arcades, fried-dough vendors, T-shirt shops and tacky gift emporiums. Streets are crammed with teenagers in Trans Ams looking for excitement. Despite the chaotic atmosphere, the beach is surprisingly well-maintained. It's groomed every day at dawn.
