Arguably the Best Restaurant in Portsmouth. It had slide way down hill and then one of the waiters bought it. Now it is probably the best all around meal in Portsmouth. Brunch is incredible and actually a value!(meaning i expected it to be more) This is a cosmopolitan fine dinning restaurant. By far the most extensive menu in Portsmouth and like its name geared towards fish. They do not compromise on quality and it is evident in the food.

Wonderful!. I was suprised to find that you can eat this well on the seacoast! Dinner was fantastic, I loved my entree (wild boar striploin!!) and was shocked to see a local restaurant trying creative fare and succeeding to this level. I dined here years ago and recently moved back to the Portsmouth area, the restaurant was much better than I'd remembered it. I found the staff delightful- knowledgeable but unobtrusive- competent, but without a snooty attitude. One of the aspects of my time at Pesce Blue that I appreciated the most was the overall feeling I got from the servers that all employees there were genuinely vested in my enjoyment of the experience. From the cockails to the desert, everything, down to the timing, was great. I look forward to returning soon before its too late in the season for the patio.

BEST RESTAURANT ON THE SEACOAST. Fantastic Food, Wine, Service. Outshone anywhere I have dined in the area. The tuna tartare rivaled the best I've had (which incidentally was in a world class NYC restaraunt 5 years ago) and the Branzino was to die for. Classy but not pretentious, informative, friendly staff did not make me feel uncomfortable being casually dressed. By far the best restaraunt on the seacoast, you've got to try it.

Simple and elegant.. Classy, modern, casual, but not pretentious. The chef tries to create creative, cohesive, and flavorful dishes that are light and super fresh. Comfortable atomosphere that 'tries to hard' to be modern, I thought it was cute, my date thought it pretentious. Went there on Sunday night before Labor Day at 7:30 and the restaurant was not even half full. Service was friendly and fast.

Excellent restaurant in all respects. Went there on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately I had booked a reservation for Friday night. Needless to say I was in a bit of a jam. The manager was great, he got us a good table even though the place was jammed. For that act alone I am forever grateful.

I liked the food, the presentation, the menu, the wine, and the service. The freshest calamari I ever had. The only problem I had was the little candles on the table. The open flame is the same height as the corner of your menu. I found this out as I successfully set both my menu and the wine list on fire.

Miss It. Pretentious, overblown and self important, Pesce Blue has decent creative fish but thats not worth the rudeness and hipper than thou attitude. Go anywhere else in this great restaurant city!
