Great Food, Great Service - what more could you want!. Have been a patron of Colby's for years. Love the food (save room for a slab of cinnamon-swirl French toast), the coffee is excellent, and the staff is wonderful. It's a tiny place, so you may have to wait a bit to get in during "peak" breakfast and lunch times but it's worth it. You can enjoy gazing at local art while you eat or just gaze out the window. Make sure to check daily specials - they're always interesting.

Always worth the wait. Colby's is a little hole in the wall type place and it's not much bigger but we always look forward to getting there any chance we can.

It can be a little bit of a wait for a table as they are a small place and you can tell in the quality of the food, it's just wonderful.

Be sure to check out the huge chalkboard on the wall with all of the specials, they are not always there long but are well worth checking out.

The staff is great as well and we always have a great time whenever we go.

Great place to go if you like pancakes.. The Friendly Toast is always my first choice for breakfast UNLESS I plan to order pancakes.

This is the place to go if you want pancakes! (If french toast is your fancy stick with Friendly Toast)

sometimes a lengthy wait... but it's the Best Breakfast in Portsmouth. I frequent this establishment often. Most every Saturday and/or Sunday when I'm in town. They have great Bloody Marys as well. The ingredients are fresh and the proportions are just right. They have great specials to chose from. You never wait long for your food even when they are packed. The staff is also very friendly. The atmosphere is small but comforting and because it's so small..it's actually warm enough to eat breakfast with out your coat on in the winter (unlike most places lately).
