Makes me look amazing. Kerry has been the creator of my hair styles for over a decade, but makes me look a decade younger than I am. She runs a beautiful array of blondes throughout my hair while keeping on top of low lights when necessary. I recently did an ionin smoothing treatment as well, expensive, but cheaper than others and well worth it. My hair has been so manageable this humid summer. Thank you for taking care of me Kerry!

KERRY HAIR!. I have been going to see Kerry for 10+ years now. She takes amazing care of my hair. I always feel beautiful and feel the need to go out somewhere special when she's done with me. I call it "KERRY HAIR"! I have blonde hair and past stylists have always ruined my highlights and left my hair feeling trashed and phoney. My sister, mother, and best friend (and all our husbands) all go to her as well. That includes grey hair and brown hair both short and long. Thank you Kerri and please don't ever leave me(us)!

There's a private parking lot in front of her building which is a nice perk for Portsmouth, no more parking tickets or extra costs.

Climb the stairs to competence and courtesy.. I have followed Christi Watson to 1, 2, 3 beauty salons, KI Maddox being the third. She is so much fun and so professional at the same time. As a senior citizen, I do not go wild on my styling requests. BUT, I don't want a stereotypical old-lady "do." Christi's patience is reassuring, and we discuss the possibilities. She respects my thoughts, and adds her creativity. The results are not always the same, (that's good!) but are always a happy ending. In the meantime, I enjoy being taken care of, sitting in a sophisticated but not fussy salon, and knowing I am in good hands. Christi and I share several interests and that makes it even more of an event to look forward to. The parking is excellent, so you can plan your time of arrival with accuracy. Christy is a Portsmouth Plus!

Great Hair Salon. I had been to many highly respected stylists in Boston who were intimidated and not very good at cutting my long, thick, wavy hair. Then I met Kerry, who is talented, patient and warm. She listens to the customers' needs and does a great job. The best in Portsmouth, and definately one of the best in the Boston north area! Worth travelling to see. Kerry's salon is small, peaceful and lovely.

A+++. Kerry has been taking care of my hair for nearly a decade and I felt compelled to write her a review as a way to thank her appropriately. She is beautiful, sweet, and talented. I have watched Kerri grow from a struggling single mother to an accomplished and admirably independent business woman. I never leave her salon feeling disappointed. I began by expecting her to fulfill my visions and have ended up sitting in her chair requesting her to fulfill her own visions of me. I truly love everything she does. She is a joy to spend time with and I look forward to my visits with her. I encourage anyone to give her a try.

Consistent excellence.. My hair has been in the hands of owner and cosmetologist, Kerry McShane since before Kai Maddox existed. I first visited her in order to correct some very bad highlights and unsuccessful attempts made by other colorists to correct them. Kerry made sure she understood what I was asking for. She told me what to expect and how many visits it would take to get the results I wanted. She explained how she was going to do it. Then, she did exactly what she said she would. I have been seeing her ever since through different colors and hairstyles and she is consistently great. It helps that she has a great personality and a beautiful salon that was truly a labor of love. She claims she is not the stylist for up-dos, but I have seen many brides and others receive gorgeous hair creations by Kai Maddox's other in-house stylist, Crystal. Whatever you need, this team can accomplish it and all in a gorgeous, quiet little refuge that is conveniently located to downtown Portsmouth. I love this place.

Beautiful salon and amazing hair!. I was new to the area and decided to ask random people who had beautiful hair where they went. Several people recommended Kerri from Kai maddox Salon. I'll admit I was leary, I've been disappointed before, but I had to try. The atmosphere was amazing. It's zen like with wood floors, a waterfall, and a seperate waiting area with a tv to make any wait as pleasant as possible. I felt like I was at home. Now lets talk hair. I love it! She was attentive and thoroughly explained her vision. I'll add that my vision was important to her too(not common with many past experiences with stylists). You all know them, they shock the hell out of you and rarely is it a positive experience. I've never had so many compliments, especially from men. Call her, she's sweet and worth any wait you may experience, she's busy and there's a reason why.
