Editorial Review for Bittersweet Farm – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This 15-acre farm offers an indoor arena and an outdoor, lighted sand ring. There are also private trails to which the students graduate. It's not just how well you ride, it's how you treat the horse. That's the philosophy at this hunter/jumper barn. So, in addition to receiving a riding lesson, riders are given a basic understanding of the horse. A rider is taught to handle, groom and tack the horse.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasThe farm is downright homey. You won't find any pretense here.
Know Before You GoThe age of a rider is not a big issue here--even 3-year-olds have been known to take lessons. The staff will teach anyone who is physically and mentally capable.

I have been riding at BSF for about 5 years and it has been the best experience of my life. I started of as a rider that had Never riden before and I now own a winning pony and have lots of experience in care and riding. All of the people there are great and so are most of the horses and ponies. Anne Sibson is one of the best Riding Instrutors I know and she has made me and my pony winners in the show ring. I LOVE IT AT BITTERSWEET FARM!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Staff, Care, Horses/Ponies
