I had followed Lauren over from NV because she had got the blond I wanted spot on...however; I had told her the bleach had been left on too long several times and it had caused scalp burning. As any blond knows, sometimes a little pain is the price of beauty. But 45 minute bleaching is not necessary especially when put under the hot lamps! But when stylists try to double-up on clients...this is all too common. Eventually my hair began to break and I went to Lauren and told her I couldn't continue bleaching and I was going to go natural. To help with the root contrast, she put in muddy low-lights after I told her low-lights would look muddy. But no...stylists ALWAYS know best no matter what you tell them about your history. So after I was sadly proven right, I looked like Joan Jet circa 1982 and far from the beige blond I had been. My hair is a natural light dirty blond so bleaching to lighten it was never damaging in the 12 years I had been blonding. But after Lauren got a hold of my hair a few times, all of the hair on top of my head broke down to 2 inches. I have an unintentional mullet....seriously. My hair is down to my shoulders but the entire top broke off to 2 inches short. It didn't help that when the low-lights came out looking like the stringy shag of a poorly treated mangy mutt, Lauren decided to do several shampoos and put in a color stripper that smelled like sulfur. That is when the damaged, slightly broken hair finally gave up the ghost and broke into the horrible mullet I try to camouflage every day. Not easy when I try to enjoy the short summer months outside when the wind decides to blow...ever seen a rooster's comb stick straight up? Besides the horror show that is Lauren's coloring skills, the salon is gorgeous, the people are nice and they carry the best product line-up I've seen in a long time. Just try someone else.........anyone else......

Pros: There are other stylists

I have known Larry for 31 years; he has been the best on the seacoast and his shop is clean, stylish and convenient. In Boston is "in"
