I was a guest last night at a fundraiser in Rye. Julie Reed Dunfey Catering provided the food and service. All of it was extraordinary! The presentation of the stationary table (fruits, cheeses, shrimp, oysters, vegetables and other items) was exquisite. We were treated to passed appetizers including skewered swordfish and scallops, mini crabcakes, beef kebobs and other delectables. The waitstaff was among the most professional available and certainly knew and executed outstanding service. While the food was presented well and the service impeccable, the food quality was superior. Imagine being charged with providing the foods mentioned above in a remote, non-commercial kitchen and having each of them cooked to perfection. Not only were the food cooked perfectly, they were seasoned and flavored perfectly. Julie and her staff did all of this in a household kitchen for a large group of guests. Never having been a guest at a party catered by Julie before, I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting only the best. Thank you, JIM COLLINS
