Where a Girl goes to be treated and dressed like a Queen

I have no idea what Susanr1958 is talking about. I have been treated like a queen each time I've shopped at this store. I'm from Salem and I travel to Portsmouth for the attention and selction that this store provides. I'm not the most "fit" person and I usually have a lot of trouble shopping at boutiques as they only seem to carry sizes my arm would fit, but this is not the case at Linda Taylor's. They carry sizes and styles for all sizes and the saleswomen really know their store. They gave me so many options to choose from and were so helpful. The best part is they aren't pushy. If you try something on that doesn't look good they will suggest something else which, in my opinion, is always better than what I've picked out. I feel beautiful everytime I wear something I've purchased here. It's why I keep coming back

Love this store

I live in Boston and recently visited Linda Taylor with my mom. I had never been inside before and was totally surprised to find such a cool store so far from the city. The sales people are the best and I found the perfect dress for a party and earrings to match! I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Best Selection, Great Service, Friendly Atmosphere

I am from Rye, and I have to say this is my favorite store in the Seacoast. The ladies that work at Linda Taylor are unbelievably attentive, kind and have such an eye for fashion and what flatters my body. Usually when I go into a store they try to push something on me that is unflattering to make a sale, NOT HERE! This boutique is truly all about finding the customer beautiful clothes that make her feel beautiful. Whenever I come in they offer me drinks, snacks or anything to make my shopping experience more enjoyable. I even receive invitations for special events they have in the store such as a pajama parties(showed up in my jammies and received a discount), makeup parties (they had a makeup artist make up my face and I received a special discount - SO FUN), and trunk shows. The designers in this boutique would rival any New York City store, but the selection is always unique.

I read a review here about a poor service and I have to say, wow- you are dead wrong. This store's customer service is what makes it stand apart from any store in the area. I always feel special and well taken care of, and the returns policy is easy and fair. The one time I had to return something, there was no issue at all. I received store credit and was much happier with my final purchase. I have an April wedding coming up, and you better believe I'll be going to Linda Taylor's to find my outfit.

FABULOUS STORE WITH WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

I visited Portsmouth last weekend and I was completely blown away by Linda Taylor. As I am from New York City, I am not easily impressed, but this boutique is truly a gem. Not only does the owner make you feel as if you have your own personal shopper, but the other two lovely ladies that work there have an intimate knowledge of the store's offerings and the latest trends. I dragged my boyfriend along who was expecting to be completely bored while I'll shopped, but Linda (the owner) offered him a cushy chair, a GQ, and beer. He was thrilled! Aside from the impeccable service, the selection of designers was very impressive: I walked away with an amazing Milly dress, Goldsign jeans, some splendid tees, a Philip Lim dress, and these incredible Vince pants. The next time I visit Portsmouth, I will definitely be stoppping by Linda Taylor- it is not to be missed!

HORRIBLE customer service.

My husband and I decided it was time to do something different for vacation. We flew to Boston, secured a rental car and made our way through the snowy New England back roads. We eventually found ourselves in a charming little city called Portsmouth, NH(about 45 minutes from Boston). As per ritual, I get a day of alone time to shop. I popped into what looked to be a promising high end clothing store and came out feeling absolutely humiliated.

The young sales girl was one of the rudest most self absorbed employees I have ever came across. She spent over 5 minutes swearing into a telephone from the back room, told me to "hang" for a few minutes and then said, "So, What up?"

I told her I wanted to try on a few things and proceeded to ask her questions about different items. She was absolutely clueless. I must have heard "I'm not sure" 50 times in a 5 minute conversation. She couldn't tell me the proper store policy regarding shipping, nor could she even tally a flat rate shipping coast.

She than proceeded to push really expensive items onto me that I told her NUMEROUS times didn't work with my body. I live in Beverly Hills, I am well versed in the art of up selling. This was just flat out rudeness. It's like she didn't care that I told her no thank you multiple times.

I don't know if this girl is a new employee or what. I truly hope the owners of this business do something right and get her some serious training or hire someone new altogether.

Maybe I just came into Linda Taylor on an off day. That's possible. I don't frequent the store enough to give an educated guess. I do however know that when I walk into a a high class clothing establishment I expect to be treated as a high class customer. If I wanted walmart service I would have shopped at walmart.

Best Clothing Store North of Boston

FABULOUS! I stumbled upon this store during a recent trip to Portsmouth and I was amazed at the quality and selection in Linda Taylor. Aside from the chic clothing, the service is really incredible. The bigger department stores and "chain" specialty stores of Boston do not hold a candle to this store. A MUST visit!!!

this is a fabulous boutique that has cutting edge fashion as well as everyday jeans and t shirts. the service is impecable and i have always felt welcome upon entering the store.
